I do not have transportation to get my child to after-school, weekend, or extracurricular school activities. What can I do?

If you do not have transportation and are looking for a way to get your child to school, there are several things you can do:

  • Contact your child's school. The school may have a transportation program and offer bus service for children living in certain areas. The school may also be able to provide you with information about public transportation.

  • Contact your local public transportation agency. The public transportation agency can assist you in determining bus routes and perhaps other methods of getting to and from your child's school. You can also visit the following website to find out more information about the public transportation agencies in your area:

  • Contact your school's Parent Teacher Association (PTA). The PTA may be able to help you find a family that lives nearby and can give your child a ride to and from school.
